The Quality Policy of the Certification Body is the provision of reliable, independent, impartial, highly prestigious, accredited certification services, which will increase the trust of the interested parts.
This reliability is ensured by the continuous satisfaction of the current legislation, the accreditation criteria and the requirements set in the standard ELOT EN ISO 17021, ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17065 and ELOT EN ISO/IEC 17020 and the other regulatory documents set by the National Accreditation System (ESYD) SA, as in each case all the above are in force.
The main goal is the constant improvement of the image of the quality and range of the provided services. The strategy for having satisfied customers and interested parts includes the:
- Compliance with standard, regulatory documents, applicable laws and regulations.
- Strict observance and implementation of the terms of the contracts.
- Adherence to the procedures and instructions of the Institution Quality System.
- Constant Improvement.
- Securing resources for the implementation of certifications.
- Use of valid, based on technological developments and the requirements of national legislation, methods for conducting the planned inspections.
- Ensuring the required technical competence of the personnel involved in the inspection processes, through its validation and constant evaluation as well as the provision of the necessary training.
- Ensuring the independence, impartiality and integrity of all staff and external partners.
- Continuous monitoring of customer satisfaction and effective management of complaints and objections.
The certification body’s policy is not only to show that it is impartial in its conformity assessment activities, but that this should be understood by all interested parties in order to deliver certifications that provide confidence. For this reason it ensures that all staff inside and outside are aware of the need for impartiality. In order to gain and maintain trust in the market and the interested parties, it is essential that the certification body’s decisions are based on objective evidence of conformity (or non-compliance) received by the certification body, and that these decisions are not affected from other interests or other parties.
The Certification Body is responsible for the impartiality of conformity assessment activities and does not allow commercial, financial or other pressures to expose impartiality. The way that the Certification Body has chosen to fulfill the requirement for consultation and to ensure impartiality, is the activation of a committee in which the interested parties participate, which is called the Impartiality Committee.
